Our aim is to offer businesses the complete package for their online presence. This is an overview of our design and development process. The exact details change from project to project, but the essence remains.
We start by finding out about your business, what your goals for your web project are, and what sort of content you want to put on your site. We define the project parameters at a very early stage, so that we can use our time effectively to work on your site, and not on problems or misunderstandings.
We create a sitemap of your site, detailing the number of pages and the url titles of each page. Then we create wireframes of the layout of your pages. This allows us to agree on the position of certain elements within the page prior to any design work being carried out.
If there is any programming or databases required, we will produce a detailed functional specification.
Now we will start designing the different page elements, such as buttons, colours schemes, graphics, banners and images. We create graphical mock ups which need to be agreed before we can continue.
We turn the design mock ups into actual html webpages. We do any required programming. We implement the pages as specified in the sitemap, but without any content in them.
At this stage we can add the content to the site. This includes all text, images and meta tags.
Now we thoroughly test the site for functionality, layouts and usability.
Once the client is happy with the work, they sign it off as complete, and we can move on to the maintenance phase.
